  • Dad diagnosed with advanced pancreatic cancer

Though he has been dealing with complications of congestive heart failure for the last 6 years- this last couple of months he has felt really crappy- last Friday they did a body scan and found a mass on his pancreas- comfirmed today as pancreatic cancer that has metastasized to liver and lungs. As of yet, they have not discussed treatment, but I would suspect with his heart's diminished state, his body won't be able to handle much stress. From what little research I have done on-line, looks to be a very aggressive form of cancer with devistating results and is typically not found until it's later stages.
I am headed out in the morning to see him (lives in Mass). Those so inclined, I ask for prayers of comfort and mercy for him- hopefully once he has all in order his heart will give out prior to the late stages of this disease consuming him.
    Thanks,
    Eric

Fuck that is shitty dude! Good luck!

Get him some skunk, really helped my mom out before she died of metastatic breast cancer. Helped with the nausea from chemo, the appetite and pain. Plus we would smoke together and spend some time!

That's terrible, dude. Spend as much time as you can with him. My pops passed away in May of last year after a two year illness. I spent every spare second just hanging out and bullshitting with him while he was sick and I'm glad I did.

Ask him what he wants to do and make sure he gets to do it. Simple as that. God bless.

Pancreatic adenocarcinoma is a bad disease. With his comorbidities, i would be surprised if he makes it to Christmas. Make every day count.

                              And Vader...really?
