  • AT&T upgrade...Refurbished

I just found out I'm able to upgrade, but I don't want to spend a ton of $$$. I can get a Galaxy s2 skyrocket refurbished for 9.99 plus their associated fees. Does anyone have a refurbished phone? any issues with it?

Also, if I do upgrade, is there a way to transport all of my game data (angry birds and such) to the new phone?

I've never had a good experience with refurbished phones.

If there is nothing wrong with your old phone, I wouldn't do it

Upgrade to a new phone or don't do it.

Dood just drop the coin and get the S3. LTE and right now best Android on the market

Also if you have an Android phone right now, anything you bought, downloaded for free will transfer to your new Android phone.

Google play remembers everything. Just back it up before you do it, or all your contacts will not transfer over to new phone.

          The steps are very easy

I've bought refurbished electronics before and never had a problem. Granted I haven't done it to often but the last two I bought were fairly high dollar items (iPad 1 32 GB that I just recently upgraded to an iPad 2 32 GB both refurbished) and not one bit of problems with either purchases. I would do it and my current phone is a Skyrocket and wish I could have bought it at that price. Should be easy enough to transfer your purchases if you bought them through the Market Place. You could also transfer them via an SD Card with a little bit of work.

Just go through customer care, tell them you want to cancel, see if they can make you a deal on a new one if you stay. If they can't do anything, keep calling back and trying again. They'll cave eventually.

The only way I'm aware of to xfer your game data and whatnot is via rooting and backing up with Titanium Backup or the like. You'll also have to root your new device as well to restore the data.
