Back seat is bigger but only comes in auto unless you spend the extra $$$ for a GXP.

I love my gen 2 CTS-V, but as goofygrin said, you should at least check out a well maintained E39 M5. Check out dfwautoclub board for a guy selling goofygrin's old ride. After he bought from goofy, he put on a bunch of Dinan stuff and is now selling it for something else. You could get a good deal on a well-maintained E39 M5.

Otherwise, if you still want the gen 1 V, it's a nice ride too and minimal issues if it's been maintained besides the rear diff as everyone pointed out.

IT's ok, stalls around 2400. I wish I had have gotten a yank or circle D 3200-3400.


And I've though about getting another bimmer, but I'm more interested in the V right now. I've had multiple e36's and e39's already and I vowed that the next one would be a serious project (e36 m3/2 big cube lsx turbo swap). But that isn't happening for sometime.

i made the mistake of buying the sedan version of my car. not that the 5door version is way cooler, just they have tons more room and actually handle a tick better than the sedan
