  • AT&T can eat a dick

    called Saturday and placed an order for a new phone. I specifically instructed the sales agent to ship the phone to my new address, she assured me she would.

    Today I track the phone and it was sent to my old address.

    I called AT&T at 9:32am this morning to resolve this, and it is 12:16pm and I am still on the phone with them and they are telling me they are sorry their associate made a mistake, but that my only options are to:

    1- Drive 12 hours and go get the phone at my old address

    or

    2- Allow them to retrieve the phone, have it shipped back, processed, then once processed call back in and re-place the order. (6-9 business days overall process)

    All I can say is fuck AT&T that is shitty customer service...........

    3- offer to pay someone from DFWS to get the new phone and overnight to your current address.

      Sounds similar to the problems I had with Uverse. I spent somewhere in the neighborhood of 3-4 hours on the phone over 7 or 8 calls trying to fix their fuck up.

        Yea, I thought about that, but now im more pissed at their shitty customer service and lack of care, that I am staying on the phone with them until I get far enough up the chain to get a new one sent to me based on the fact of the matter on how this is unraveling.

          I am just appalled at their "we don't really give a fuck" attitude. I mean seriously, I only spend $200/month and have for the past 10 years with them, but that doesn't seem to mean shit to them.

          edit- this supervisor just offered a $100 credit, but still asks me to make the drive and get it, so Ive asked to speak to her supervisor who says they have another solution for me....

              Exactly. They don't seem to grasp the concept that this was their mistake, and they feel it is just something I will accept to jump in my car and make the 12 hour drive. WTF?!?! Id do what Mike said if I really had to have it, but now it is about principle. I am not going to just lay down and accept their apathy. Either they are stupid motherfuckers, or they just don't care........

              Edit- LOL now are on a 4-way call. hey, at least they are not transferring me around anymore....

                Verizon FTW!

                I just ordered a Motorola Droid Razor, was here in a few days via FedEx. Had to sign for it and no problems. The phone was $199.00 a few months ago, its $99.00 right now.

                    I've been with AT&T for almost two decades, I finally got tired of dropping calls and shitty customer service. I started a contract with Verizon going on two years ago, no more dropped calls. I just switched over my son and in December I will be bringing my wife over. I'll be saving over $50.00 smacks a month too.

                            go into the retention dept that's the only way i get service there now even if its for technical support I call and say i've been on hold for 10 minutes want to cancel service and they take care of it.

                              some salespeople were at my house the other day trying to get me to switch to uverse... aside from them screwing up, how happy are you with the actual service?
