  • Best way to sell 50,000 sports cards?

Havent collected cards since i was like 13 (so its been 15 years). Counted once and its close to or over 50,000 sports cards. I want to get rid of them, tired of moving them when I move, they are heavy and take up room. Just not sure of the best way to unload them all at once. Just want one lump some for them. Anyone have any good ideas?

I would start on Craigslist, throw an ad out there highlighting your valuable cards and the era that most of them are from. How much do you think your collection is worth?

I also have 10 boxes of them that I have moved everytime we moved, but the sportscard market has gone to crap lately so maybe I'll hang onto them for another 15 years and they'll be worth more.

Take them to a sports cards & collectibles type shop to see what they will offer you. Be advised though, they still won't give you top dollar unless you have something rare that is in super MINT condition.

It will come back. It will get a nostalgic following again.

The innernet killed the trading card business.

Oh I know. I dont wanna go through the cards to see whats there, it would take me seriously MONTHS to go through every card with a beckett and find whats worth anything. They havent been touched in 15 years and have been sitting in collector box's. I just want em gone. Also saving for a down payment on a house and the extra bit of cash would help get us there faster. Id be happy with 1500-2k for them. I know there use to be some really good stuff, just not sure what that use to stuff is worht now.

I'm in the same boat. I can't bring myself to sell them or sort them or throw them out. Got some old comic books the same way. I never got into them. I got some lame one called Action with a guy holding a car over his head.

Give them to me, I'll take them all.
You can use them for target practice...

The cards should range from about 87 to about 95-96
