Random drug tests

Does your company give random drug tests?

Mine just started doing it like this...

We have about 300 employees.

10 people every week will get a drug test.

It is random from the computer and it is all computer controlled

There is a chance you can take one 2 weeks in a row

I seriously doubt it is random or computer selected/controlled.

When I worked in Midland I went for the whiz quiz like clockwork. It was known i would pass and replacing people as noted above is difficult in that market.

I still get tested pretty regularly. Cdl w/hazmat ill do that for ya.

During the onboard training here 8 years ago, our trainer was pretty cool. One chick in class made the comment that she couldn't believe they didn't do a pre-employment durg screen. He basically said "Salespeople party too much. If we start doing drug tests we'd have to get rid of half of our top producers." Probably true, but I was shocked that he said that.

There's gotta be companies out there that test, but then don't give a shit if you come back positive for pot. Personally, unless you are operating heavy equipment or doing something potentially dangerous that requires a very clear head, it shouldn't be any of their damn business what you do in your free time. If you do your job well, carry the fuck on!

Military, so I get tested about 5 times a year with this unit. I love how when they brief you they say that people were chosen at random, but it's always 100%.

Not sure how the Army or Air Force computer programs work but for ours (Navy/Marine) you go in and punch in either a specific number or a percentage into the program. the program then randomly pulls however many you specified from the database and builds a roster.

There's also options in there to pull specific names (have to have the COs order to do someone by name specificly) or to do a "unit sweep" which is 100 percent.

By our drug testing order I only have to test each person once a year. If I do a 10% check every month which I usually do (actually I do 36 people just so I fill up 3 boxes even) you more than cover yourself for the year. But sometimes the program pulls the same people multiple times. One guy has been on my last 4 random tests generated by the computer.

We still usually do a 100% about once a year. Sometimes more if someone pops. We had a few pop for weed back at the start of the year and the CO had us perform a 100% check twice a month (once for Active duty once for Reservists) for 4 months straight. That's a crap load of paperwork.........and piss.

The MG at Bliss has put out that he wants 600% drug tested for the year, I'm fairly certain we never use a computer program for it and just do 5-6 100%s throughout the year. However, we still get briefed each time that it's a random 100%, lol.

Yes, my company does, and we lost 40% of my crew on the last one. That fucking sucked, but they couldn't keep clean. So sad.

I don't fucking get it dude. Yes, this job has some pretty suck ass parts, but if you stick with it for a while it turns into a 100k/year gig, and these guys can't keep clean. Of my whole crew, I was the only person that didn't have to sweat it.
