Auto Insurance Ugh

So I had 2 cars on my insurance (Progressive),

2008 Fusion and 2010 F150
2 Drivers (My wife(25) and I (26))
My wifes credit sucks and she has 1 at fault.
Insurance was running us about $200 a month

Well I need to add the 2011 mustang I just got and they want another $120 a month for a "recreational vehicle" which sounds kind of crazy to me, we can't be in 3 cars at once. Does anyone have any good insurance contacts that would work well in this situation? Thanks in advance.

Have you got a quote from The Hartford, OP? I’ve found them to be fairly good as compared to the other TX car insurance companies. They offer different discounts which make rates affordable and the services are very professional too. Get a quote and see if it’s cheaper for you there.

i have allstate, even with 2 teenage drivers and 6 vehicles and a bike for my son (r6) was (they are now over 20 yo) only 620 a month and that was with full coverage.

Insurance basing rates off credit scores should be illegal as fuck! I have been with progressive for a while now, never had a late payment but my rates blow just because I pay cash for everything. Total BS! They dont blow $300+/month though but then again Im not a baller, I got 2 cash cars and the occasional project.
