I don't know, but if I heard that and no one fucking answered the door when you arrive wouldn't that give you a clear concise idea that something may not be quite right?
This job is just a tad more complicated than you think.

Now I'm confused. Do we want cops to bust down the door of an unverified address or not? What if there was a pit bull (with cropped ears of course) inside and they had to shoot it? Quite the conundrum.- Darrell

Also, if they went to the house and things were quiet, I bet she was already dead. And heck, he was probably already gone. They caught him soon after, so it's a wrap. There's no story here other than another murder with a suspect in custody.

Someone should have realized there was a prior criminal history in regards to him beating on her before, and this particular call fit into that same category. I think it'd be different if it was a silent 911 call, but there were 2 calls in this case and one of them is her describing an attack. I'm wondering just how "associated" the address was.
It will hinge on what information that they had that said the call was coming from that particular address. If they checked, and nothing could be found, they did all that they could do.

An unfortunate story, but the call could have been made from anywhere. Had it been on a landline, i can see knocking the door down, but as it was a mobile....I don't want my door kicked in because someone gave them my address and claimed something was going on. Check out the term "SWAT-ing."
I see a payout however to the family because this is a PR nightmareI wear a Fez. Fez-es are cool

One can follow every rule and procedure and still be sued. No city council member will deny a payout where the police are involved and someone died.
It's a guaranteed payday.
