There were several other choices, 31 of them to be exact. But I wanted to keep the family close to home and this was my best option for that.

I was stationed at Altus and Sheppard. Trust me when I at there are worse places to be stationed than Dyess... It just seemed like an odd "first choice". Lol

Dyess was my last assignment. I was with the B-1B Simulator as an active duty guy and later as a civilian for Boeing. That place grows on you. Some of the people I worked with are still there 20 years later doing the same thing.
