My father had inoperable brain cancer and died several months ago. That's no excuse for doing this to your family.

I do wonder if he swan dived, or maybe did a can opener, or perhaps a cannonball? Was it done with style and pizzazz?

You better watch yourself. You're not allowed to have this kind of opinion.

You know, I've never considered it, but that could very well be true for a lot of the sympathizers.

Perhaps you need to work on your reading comprehension. All I'm saying, is not to shit all over the man and his family because you don't understand how someone can do something like this. And not to talk shit about him. I'm not saying you can't have an opinion. I'm saying to practice a little tact and keep it to yourself. Say what you want about the act, but don't judge the person who carried it out so harshly, when you have no idea what kind of shit he was dealing with.

The reason why you don't want me to speak my mind, is because you disagree with it on a moral ground - that is exactly what you just said. Do you understand now? You're flooding your perception and arguments with emotion, and it doesn't make any sense. You're putting words into my mouth based on your perception, and you're making conclusions based on your personal morality "practice a little tact." You're opinion is just as subjective and valid as my own, but you feel yours is far more important - this is the exact definition of "holier than thou." And that is true hypocrisy.

And you conveniently left out the rest of my sentence, because it doesn't help prove the point you are trying to make. Read it in it's totality, understand what I posted. Come back when you understand what I said. You're better than nitpicking and arguing only parts of what I said. Read it all, or find someone else to argue with.

If the inoperable brain cancer thing is true, then I do sympathize with him. Why put your family through the pain, agony, and financial burden that is brain cancer? CJ - If that is true about your father, then you know exactly what I'm talking about. Quality of life is terrible. You become a burden on your family. Yes, that is what families are for. And when it's family, it's not really a burden, per se, but you know what I mean. He could have drained his familiy's bank accounts trying to keep himself alive. One could argue doing so would have been selfish as well. Also, tumors can affect the thought processes of the brain. I saw it with my father in law. Many days, he just wasn't rational. He thought we were trying to poison him. He was paranoid. At times, he didn't recognize anyone. In such circumstances, I can absolutely see how a tumor might cause someone to do something irrational.

I normally say suicide is a permanent solution to a temporary problem. If that is true, there is no solution, in this situation.

You said it clear as day. Nothing was used other than your own statements. You are practicing everything you accused me of and evidence was provided. I'm sorry it upsets you. You're attempting to obfuscate using your personal morality again. I'm focusing on nothing other than your own words. Your intention is irrelevant. There is no denying that you're telling me my opinion should not be shared because it offends your moral opinions. It is the entire basis of your argument. And you're using moral opinions as defense. I said exactly what I meant, and there are many people that agree with me, I'm merely the only one that won't fold. Just as many people have the opposite opinion - which I completely understand. I completely understand what you are trying to say - I understand your morals and your reasoning.

The act of suicide says to me that he felt that being a father or husband was worth less than whatever reason he had for killing himself. That is my opinion/fact, and not shitting on anyone.
