I didn't say he was. I said when my kid is laying there crying and you hurt them, you're going to pay. I don't care if on purpose or not and saying that you're a cop doesn't stop my initial reaction. Maybe after I cool down? But not at that moment.

There's a very good reason, well several, that I stay away from things that upset me and may trigger a reaction. There's also good reason that I live away from people and my son is no further than arm's length from me at any time. Just like my rifle.

I'm sorry but this is some back ass logic. I know emotions would be topped out during this situation, but how about having some priorities, ie: call 911, stop traffic, and help the cop with whatever assistance he might need. By using your mentality, say your kid breaks his arm and you take him into the ER, Doc sets the break but didn't give enough pain meds and your kid screams, are you going to "beat his ass into the ground"?

Because his need to prove his manhood outweighs all that, duh... You can't reason with him. He lacks logic and self control.

I have to agree here, it sucks the father got shot but the girl was in the damn street. Your lack of parenting does not give you an excuse to act like an animal.

I dont have a kid, but when i saw my dog hurt badly, i took care of her on the spot. I didnt go mad with rage looking for who did this to her, as i only cared about my pup's well being. I guess I was taught well on how to handle my emotions during a emergency , and not take my anger out on the world.

How about making him pay... LATER? And taking care of your kid NOW! Nice to see how screwed up your priorities are.

The only way the dad might not be wrong is if he thought the rider was trying to leave the scene, but this wasn't the case. Unfortunately he made two bad decisions.

That sucks, but like it has been said, the girl should not have been in the street. It is the parents fault she got hit and it's the dad's fault he got fuckin shot.
                      end of story

Middleton’s sister, Tina Middleton, said her brother lived in Elgin with the mother of his daughter and was visiting relatives in Maywood, where he grew up. “He was a good person,” she said. “I know for sure he wasn’t out to harm the man. My brother would never harm anybody. I could understand him (the officer) being upset, but two wrongs don’t make a right.”

Seems pretty damn simple to me...
i had to laugh at a situation i saw this weekend down in san antonio at alamo, a women kept yelling at her little boy ( 2-3 yo) to quit letting go of her hand and running off, it was pretty humorous, but according to her, it was the little boys fault everytime.....the its not my fault syndrome

Scrap the bike, we know it was the bikes fault. Either that or deport it back to China or Mexico where it was made!

In all serious though... like FordMustangLove said tend to your fucking kid. I understand adrenalin kicks and shit but DAMN. I've learned to contain my emotions and not fucking lose it.
