A 56-year-old man watching The Bourne Legacy at a Nevada movie theater accidentally shot himself in the buttocks when his gun fell out of his pocket and discharged, the Reno Gazette-Journal reports.
Sparks police Sgt. Pay Dyer says witnesses reported that the man "was adjusting himself in his seat" when the weapon went off.
He immediately got up, apologized to those sitting around him and left the theater before police arrived, the newspaper reports.
Although some moviegoers might be on edge after the recent deadly shootings at a cinema in Aurora, Colo., there was no panic at the Century 14 theater.
Police say there were only 30 people in the theater -- and only a handful actually heard the gun go off.
