The wife and I just went through a major (to us) change in our child's diet. We were buying Mott's for Tots Apple Juice because of the sugar content. Come to find out that shit is made in China. There is only one Apple Juice that Kroger carries that is made in the USA. I can't remember the name off the top of my head, but I think it's TreeTop. So now we look a little closer at the grocery items we buy to make sure that most if not all come from America. There is no reason that we should be importing food items unless it's an ethnic food.

I try to as much as possible, except when it comes to firearms. American firearms suck.

I always try to, but sometimes there are no American options, or sometimes the price point is just too great. For example, Snap-On and MAC tools. Those are tools for professionals but I'm just a garage monkey. I'm not buying a $1500 floor jack to use it three times a year.

*edit - I just noticed in the link to the jack that it's made in China. SMH.

would you really buy an american made tv (westinghouse, lol)over a chinese made one? And, Samsung tv's are made in mexico.

other than that, I really don't even think about it or care when making purchases.

on a vehicle note, my car is american with a japanese motor and german trans. I do prefer Ford over any other vehicle usually, though.

Everything is imported now days. Majority of all parts for all vehicles are made over seas. Really don't see the difference where your loyalties lay.

I only buy American cars. I know that definition is blurry nowadays - but at the end of the day ask yourself : Where does the money go? Where are most of the jobs? and what country gets the majority of the company's tax dollars?

I'll buy an Edelbrock manifold vs a made in China copy any day of the week. But I know on the majority of consumer products, you have little choice.

I do find it ironic that many right wing, NRA member, tea party friends of mine who always spout off about being proud Americans......always buy import cars.

American when I can but most of us are in denial when it comes to the quality of American made products.

I don't buy a damned thing at Wal-Mart. I refuse to step in the store.

I try to support American companies when I can. I am mostly against shit made in China or third world countries where workers are getting fucked over to produce those products so cheaply that the U.S. can't compete.
When it comes to cars or guns I am not against buying a good product made in another country like Germany or Japan.
