It depends. I own and F150 and a Nissan Titan. When I bought the Titan, there were a lot of layoffs/bailouts for the major US manufacturers and I was pissed off at all of them. (Turns out ford did good)

I buy anything I can that is American made, but I notice most parts are still made somewhere else though....which sucks.

I don't try to buy American, as much as I try to avoid anything made in China. I do read every label, will pay as much as it takes to avoid Chinese junk. I absolutely refuse to buy any seafood or other food from China.

I buy American when I can. I've never had a problem out of my Colt M4 either...

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

What products are you people buying that are made in china that are better quality than USA? Some items are just not made here anymore but on normal daily use products, I call BS on china being better. Those clowns cut corners on everything they build, use non-spec materials, etc. When the company is based here and the product is made here, the jobs and money stay here.

Hell, this thread made me look up my Ingersoll Rand compressor (smaller one) that I could sworn was American made - and cost quite a bit more than other junk. Nope, made in Taiwan it would seem.

Most large foreign companies that operate in America pay taxes just like American companies. Like Toyota, the company here is Toyota motor sales of America, Toyota motor engineering and manufacturing of America. They have plants in Kentucky, Texas, Alabama and other locations. Import car companies manufacture more cars in the states than domestic companies. They also employ more people and purchase more goods from local manufacturers than domestic car companies. Last domestic I owned was assembled in Canada but my Nissan Armada was assembled in Mississippi.

I used to search for American made, but I lost the battle with suppliers.

i dont care where its made as long as it works as advertised. unions killed my desire to buy american since i was paying more for a subpar product.

                          god bless.
