I'm not worried about it. I've registered several vehicles since my first one that was also a scammed deal several years ago. The video showed me approach a red light, come to a complete 4 second stop, then turn right on red. Same badge number approved both.

I do not even remember getting the notice though I am guilty of throwing them away in the past. Knowing this is civil and in past Tarrant county had stated they would not enforce, but that could of changed I assume.

Anyways if anyone has had luck with it in Tarrant which branch was it at?
I had one of these after I was trying to fight a redlight ticket(it was clearly yellow when I took a right). I didn't pay, got hit with the $25 extra fee, and marked as a scofflaw. I had to pay the $100, wait for the scofflaw removal letter to arrive, and go to the tax office in person to re-register my bike.

I assume you had the mailer they sent out on it, or did you go to the reporting PD to take care of it?

Mine states Arlington so that would be my first stop. I will try to go to DMV at lunch and see if they will let me squeak by.

My ticket was in Denton so I had to call up Denton County tax office and pay them. I was able to do that over the phone. I had the release paper in hand a few days later.

They won't allow it. They can't allow it. The Scofflaw deal is done at the state level, and the system will not allow any way around it. Once it is there, you have to pay if you want to renew. The tax office can tell you who you owe, though.

Dat sucks! Yeah, guess I will call Arlington. I need a lasso to start using on these things as I drive by.

If people keep ripping them down, eventually they'll get too expensive to replace. Generally I'm against the destruction of government property, but I'll gladly turn a blind eye to this bullshit scam.
