  • Any Verizon Wireless service reps or tech support here?

My novatel 760 data card has less than 70DbM signal strength to the EVD0 RA network and for the last few weeks I have been getting steadily less and less bandwith. Normal transfer rates for me for 3 years has been 1.4mbps down and .8 up, but for two weeks I am under 250kbps up and down.

Am I being throttled? I read that they are throttling "power users" on the grandfathered unlimited plan but I wouldnt consider facebook and dfwmustangs high data.

If you can help me I'll pm you my data card phone number

it sucks I am less than 1 mile in either direction from DSL, 2 miles from cable, and 15 miles from fiber.

3g has been on the bottom end of acceptable, but that beats satellite.

Where are you located at? If it's in the east Dallas area, there is a company that has a wireless canopy system. I have used them before and I got great speeds. Getting 3mbps at the car lot with 25ms of ping.

Wow, way out in the sticks. I found two wireless providers out there. One is fucking expensive at $99 a month and the other only offers 384k.

                      Should have gone with AT&T....lol

Everyone throttles there speeds once you reach a certain GIG of use.

And yes so does Sprint after 5gigs of use as well.

spent an hour with tech support today and he said my account is not flagged for "network optimization" aka throttling. I went for a drive with my laptop and data card and got reasonable speeds about 4 miles away. Hope they figure it out I need my random pic of the day fix.
