  • Phone Call Time Etiquette?

Do you wait until a certain time in the morning to call someone or not call after a certain time at night? I "ass"umed it was pretty common, but apparently, not.

depends on who it is and what their work schedule is like.

Etiquette, in general, doesn't really exist in this 24/7 society.

Well, a 7:15AM phone call that could have been handled through a text or waited till 10AM. Also, I just adore the 1-2AM "What are you doing?"

I generally don't call before 8 on week days, 10 on weekends. 9 usually at night, but for some friends 10. Hell, I really rarely even talk on the phone any way. Mostly text. I never liked talking on the phone any way.

All I know from dfwm is that you can't bitch about it if you were stupid enough to put your number in a craigslist ad. Would probably be followed by some random posts and arguments around posters' various experiences with craigslist over the years.

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?

You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

I don't answer my phone after I go to bed, so I couldn't careless when people call me. I won't even here a text message alert if I'm asleep.

My phone starts ringing no later than 6am, every day. Sometimes at 5. A couple times a year I will get an emergency call at 2-3am. There are certain people I will call at 5-6, but I know they are up and working.

Etiquette goes out the window when the call is for booty.

                          I won't call anyone before 9am or after 10pm.

Texting - depends on the person, but generally the same.

                          Emails - 24 hrs a day.

Etiquette, standards and quantity of texts/calls made within 60 seconds. The proverbial "dynamite into the stock pond".

i usually stick to the old 9-9 rule.

unless it's an emergency or i know the person's schedule.

hell, half the time i'll text the person prior to calling.
