          for the first 3 years at my apt i didnt own a microwave till they came and installed one above my stove.

          i dont like that devil box where witchcraft happens and food turns to goo.

              LOL right there with you. I usually do something like 30% power, rest, repeat.

              If your microwave has an inverter, it will be giving constant power at the set level and won't ruin food as quickly. Without an inverter it's doing full power on off cycles.
