Few shots of the status of the hood. Was able to get the side panels fabricated and tacked in place as well as the leading front edge of the scoop (used 1/4 round stock to create a visually thicker edge.) Not sure what I plan to do on the back side, probably clean it up (also with a 1/4 round edge) and then leave it open as a vent. It has a Mopar-esque look to it but I dig it, helps add some agression to the cars front end.

Nice ride. I like the pro touring concept, but I think my ride is too new to count- 86. It is on pause waiting on the new daily to arrive.
The hood does look Mopar-ish, but definitely different.

More work done on the hood, for the unskilled guy like myself, metal work takes a ton of time. Great respect for the shops that turn out art, mine is not art but it is getting where I want it. Also picked up a Fluidine Radiator 06 Mustang fitment, it is a beefy unit and should have no issue colling my little 4.6, even with a blower. It will take some work to get it to fit, but what doesn't.
Changes on the hood from my last post. Took the "peak" out of the center of front of the raised section and rounded it off for a better transistion. Also added the curved center support and the "buttresses" on the outer edges to help blend the raised oprtion into the lower. I got some inspiration from a GT350 clone I saw last week at a car GTG. Also extended the rear to overlap the cowl, there is still a nice 1" "vent" slot across the rear. Still have some clean-up and other work to do, but I am pleased with the look. Adds some needed agression to the car yet still works with the stock lines.

Started work on the front bumper/valance, not far enough along yet to warrant pics. I am using the front bumper and valance from a 65 mustang. Cut the side "wings" off of the bumper to better fit the lines of the Falcon. I had to section and widen the valance adding 3" and now have some massaging to do to get it to all work together.
On a side note I also hung new lighting in the garage, the weather up here is slowly going to crap so having a well lit, even if cold, garage will keep the progress movign through the winter.1965 Ford Falcon Pro-Touring Project

I dig the hood, I would have closed the back if it was mine, but it aint. Cool ass car.
I got my DS front frame rail straightened and ready for the subframe connector to weld up, now onto the next side.
Chris stopped by to check if my rear seat (04 GT) would fit in his Maverick.
