This happens about five times a year in Texas. Joe Blow leaving his dog locked in a hot car equals him getting a felony cruelty to an animal charge, JBT doing it equals him getting "additional training".

I haven't read the article (can't get the link to load), but if it was a cop that left a k-9 (assuming based on comments) in his patrol vehicle, this same shit happened last year in Greenville. They didn't do anything to the LEO either. I think this is like 4th or 5th case I know of locally involving an officer.

I don't know why they wouldn't leave it running. I see fat officers leave their cars running for 30+ minutes unattended all the time, because they don't want to get back in an oven. I will say, the ones I see doing it are usually overweight. I don't see all officers do this, to be clear.

Some officers are required to leave the car running while on duty. I dont why but its a requirement for some departments, and its not just fat one doing it I see them all do it here where I live.

I can honestly say if I saw two police dogs locked up in a cop car in the heat about to die, I might call the police, but I wouldnt do shit else for fear of being fucked over.

Two dogs in a civilian car, I break the window in a heartbeat.
