  • EZ UPS- what is your preference?

Thinking about getting an EZ UP, 10 x 10 or 12 x 12, and want to hear any first hand experience about what's junk, what will last.

If it's $49 at Academy, my hunch is that it's junk... but I have no experience with these to base that on.

    Thanks

I had one for years I bought it at Sams. Last year a storm blew in and it damgaed a few 'arms' that hold the canopy. Well they stopped making those now and the parts have been discontiuned. It was not the fault of the EZ-UP co. other than they stopped making the parts, but I had to throw it away and I paid $300.00 smacks for it.

The cheap stuff is OK as long as you use the stakes to hold it down.

I have the 10x10 from academy. It's a couple of years old, don't use it all the time, just a few times a yeAr and its given me no trouble.

      God bless.

This is the only one I would buy from academy, the cheap blue ones are junk if there is any kind of wind. Also keep in mind this one has straight legs instead of slanted so the top is an actual 10x10 unlike the others. I've done a lot of camping with these and worked in the camping & hunting departments at Academy for 3 years in college. Saw lots of the cheap blue ones get returned......

We have a 10X10 from Dicks I think. It was probably around $50 but not 100% sure since we have had it for several years. Still works perfectly.

I will say, it is not the full 10x10 canopy. It is the kind where the legs angle out a bit. Those that are a true 10x10 are better but usually closer to $100.

Don't go cheap, spend the coin or you will be sorry.
