Damn Yahoo account hacked.

THis is the 2nd time this shit has happened with them. There is nothing really personal on there, but i still use it when i order shit online.

Ive got my contacts so encrypted, but a few they actually figured out.

You must have been using a generic password, or created an account on a spam site using the same password you use for your email...

Far from generic. I always try and reach atleast 16characters uncluding numbers/upper/lower case.

The hack Bputacoma links to is a mix of social engineering and Apple incompetence. Lesson here is don't use Apple, don't have a backup email linked to gmail - use a mobile phone.

And most importantly - NEVER use the same passwords.

I only use yahoo to order shit, once I get the email, I forward it to my Gmail account. Then delete it from yahoo.

Im done with yahoo. I pulled everything last night. Its time to move on as its been my main email since 2000. Yahoo will eventually fail as nobody will use the place anymore.
