I have a stinger led , stinger xp led , pro tac 2aa , 3 stylus pro's, 2 knuckleheads and various other lights . I'm really stuck on the reliability and good pricing from streamlight . The only one I want and don't have is the pro tac that runs on 2 123 cells . It's as bright as a stinger led but 1/4 the size . I just hate buying those cells .

For size, brightness, and overall realiability, the streamlight is leaps and bounds better then a mag light. I have a mag light hanging on the side of my cart at the shop, btw.. My small streamlight is about 1/8 the size of my led mag light, and is literally twice as bright.

I use a rechargeable Maglite with a Terralux 1000 lumen led replacement lamp.

Hacked and modded mag lights are something I am scared of , I would love to see your light . However my runtime and warranty is nice .

Links to the model or build, if modified. I love good flashlights but a off the shelf magcharger has nothing on stinger or stinger xp lights .

Like I said, any night you want to compare lights.... my mag puts out a little over 2200 lumen with one LED. My 1000 lumen mag will run for 4 Hrs continuous duty on the high setting and will run for over 2 days continuous on the low setting that is still putting out over 100 lumen.

                the 2200 lumen mag....

yah, and for size comparison, here is a shot of 3 emitters, from the left is the stock mag LED then an XML LED and the big one that goes 2200 lumen @ 9a of current is a SST-90.

On the one pictured it is modded to take 4, 14500 lithium cells in series. it runs the driver @ 16.8v and the driver puts out 9a of current to the emitter. It gets hot quick even for a LED. I had the tube shortened to a 1D size and the slots on either side of the button are filled with Tritium tubes. It is more of a "wow" that's cool light and run time is short. less than 20 minutes is left on. The 1000 lumen mags I use as my daily use are 2D mags and have 3 modes that are selected by bumping the switch. Like I said earlier the high setting that puts out 1000 lumen will run for over 4 continuous hours and the low will run for over 2 days straight and still puts out plenty of light to see wtf you are doing. I am in Midlothian.

It's not a hack job. The lamp is a drop in 2-pin design like the original lamp. One charge generally lasts me all week and it has a warranty. My light needs to work whwn I need it so I don't mess around with hack job mods.
