There are guys out there getting 90-100k out of their Michelin LTX MS2's with 5k rotations. Time and time again, I hear they are the best on the market. I've got 30k on mine and they still look brand new. They weren't cheap, but I drive a lot. They are quiet and handle very well in the rain.

Well it looks like I can get the LTX MS2s mounted and balanced for a hair under $700. Thats $160 more than the Hancooks I was looking at but it appears to be a far better tire.

I have always believed it does not matter how big your brakes are, how much HP you have or how expensive your suspension is, it does not matter if you dont have a good connection to the road.
Its like running a 0awg power wire to a 2000 watt amp and only keeping a factory 8 awg ground wire to the chasis. LOL
Good judgment comes from bad decisions and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Yep. I doubt I'll ever buy a different LT tire. Quiet as can be, and long life. My previous Goodyear tires were loud as shit, sucked in the rain, and didn't last for shit.

Agreed. My truck came from the factory with Goodyear SRA's on it and they were the biggest pieces of shit I've ever seen besides the Goodyear Eagle F1's on my wife's TL. As far as I'm concerned Goodyear's fucking suck dirty assholes. I'll never buy a set of them. Finally got the F1's off of her car and replaced them with some Continental Extreme Contact DWS's.

I have the Wrangler Duratracs and love them. They are a bit noisier than the average, but not as loud as a Mud terrain. They are a good cross of an AT and a MT. I have 50k on them and they still have good tread left. I haven't been in anything they couldn't get out of, snow/gravel/mud/dirt, etc.

A good tire is cheaper in the long run when they last twice along as a tire that's 25% cheaper initially. Michelin is the way to go .

I've been happy with two sets of Firestone Transforce HT. You can't go wrong with the Michelin either.

That's a steal. I need 2 tires on my RDX and the Michelin LTX don't come in my size. The Pirelli Scorpion Verdes have excellent reviews/test results and are cheaper than my OEM Michelins. Thanks for posting this.

I am a fan of Michelin as well, but I've never gotten the kind of mileage the other guys are getting.

I rotate them every 6k miles or so, and my 2011 F150 has just over 37k on it.

I am at about 5/32 tread right now on the factory Michelin tires, and I'm going to the Michelin Latitude Tour since the truck is a 2WD driven 99% on the street.

I just put my second set of Michelins on my truck. They are a 72,000 mile tire and I put just over 90,000(in just under a year) on them before the tread started looking worn. My driving is ~95% highway. They are quiet and hold their balance past 5,000 mile rotations.

I'll stick with them until they prove unreliable.

Falken Rocky Mtn AT's on my F150.. hated them coming from bald BFG's but after a cross country trip they grew on me. I have maybe 35k on them and there's plenty of tread left.

DT does 6 months same as cash, so pony up for the good ones and just pay the balance off.. it's an interest free loan.

I went ahead and got the Michelins. Was gonna get some BFG Long Trail Tour tires but they only had two and there was a $50 rebate on the Michelins so that sealed the deal. Just a hair over $600 installed. I really like the tires. Truck rides so much better and I am amazed how much quieter it is on the highway.

Thanks for the advice all, good show.

My Z71 has an easy 30k on a set of Michelin something or others and they've still got a good chunk of life left.

Michelin Ftw . I have always gotten upwards of 100k from michelin tires. I also like firestone transforce at and have gotten similar mileage from them . Though I have had issues with the firestone store so I try to go with the michelins. Worth the extra.
