It's weird, this year is totally different than last year. Yeah, being out here alone sucks, but I'm truly thankful to be alive and in one of the most beautiful cities in the country. Being that this is a military town, the local radio stations have being doing "shout outs" from soldiers over seas, and that really puts it in perspective. Some of those guys and gals have a spouse and kid(s) that they aren't able to be with today, who am I to whine, I could have ponied up the $800 and flown home if it was really that big a deal. They don't have that option.

a set of buoy bags for my jet skis - i'd needed some forever
a whole bunch of candy and junk food
a mini potato gun
a whole bunch of books that i wanted
a giant jaw breaker
and most importantly i got all our jet skis and trailers registered and tagged for the next few years
