The first two items I listed, I found on bumpy side streets by my job. If its not secured, it will find its way on to the road. The A frame ladder I found on 287 in Mansfield. I can't remember where I found the reciever hitch, that's been along time ago. The jack I found in the middle of a rural intersection. And to answers Trips question, I drive a truck, so I'm always driving places I would otherwise never go to.

I figured it was from their community service obligation. This board is filled with DWI experts.

Jyro bailed me out once with a small problem that was important to me. Him and his wife are good peeps in my book.

I found a German couples bag that had their Passports and other such important stuff in it when I was in DC on 9/10/01. We walked to their hotel and gave it to them with barely a thank you. Imagine the crap they would have been in the next day if we hadn't got it to them.

I'm glad my wife decided she wanted to go home and we flew back that day. We were supposed to leave at 8 am on 9/11.

When I lived in N. Cali, I found the frame of some kind of pistol (have no idea what kind as I wasn't into guns then). I brought it home, when I told my mom what it was she made me turn it in to the police. Turns out it was used in an armed robbery/shooting in Fresno Ca and dumped in the backroads by Mt.Diablo state park.

When I lived in DC the must I would find were stolen cars. Crack heads would find everything else.

Shit, man, I was supposed to be on one of the flights that hit the towers. I was on stand-by and missed the flight, thankfully. It still gives me chills to think about it

Shit! My mom was supposed to be on the one that went down in the field, she ended up getting stuck at EWR (Newark NJ) instead. Crazy!

And you gave it back??? Call me a risk taker but my answer would have been "No sir, we didn't find a thing". Water boarding could not have gotten a different answer out of me.

                          You should have called me.

I had the feeling that the guy who left it in there was in deep shit, and would have been in deeper shit if that gun did not turn up. When he came in his face was beet red and he was super thankful.
