  • I always watch for stuff in the road

I've found wallets, lots of tools, rolls of flex duct and insulation, nice water skis but todays find topped them all.

I found a canon EOS 7D. the lense was broken but the camera works and I have a auto focus lense to fit it. On ebay the body is $900. I want to find the guy it belongs to but need some help with a public data account. I have the guys name and address in plano. He has no inet profile. I need a phone number.
    Don W. Schmidt, Plano
Don't worry about what you can't change.
Do the best you can with what you have.
Be honest, even if it hurts.

Just this week, I found a Craftsmen electrical pliers and a 4 way. Years ago I found a 6ft. fiberglass/aluminum A frame ladder, reciever hitch with anti sway and best of all, a 20 ton pneumatic jack. The kind they use to change tires on semi trucks.

I found a zip up bag with a bunch of prescriptions inside. Looked the address on the pill bottles and went to return it to the owner. They wouln't even open the door, just yelled for me to leave them on the porch. Not even a thank you or anything. People are ungrateful these days.

I look, but nothing like my dad. His prized find is some calculator that he found in the 90's that worked for like a decade or so. He loved bragging about it.

it's shocking the amount of fuel cans I see around houston. It like, guys, those are not one time use items.

I found a porter cable pancake compressor on the side of the road a few months ago. Back in the day dad found a 30lb jug of r12.

I find stuff in the road constantly but the one that tops them all was a wallet in the middle of the road going to the dump in Lewisville 20 or so years ago.
It had over $4k in it but it also had something in it that made me track down the owner to return it; an FBI ID card.
Magnus, I am your father. You need to ask your mother about a man named Calvin Klein.

I found a zipped up day planner in the middle of the intersection one night. It had a chic's California DL, all her CC's, pictures of her and her kid, and two plane tickets to go back to California the next day. I called a number that was apparently her mother's and explained. She didn't seem all that surprised or happy about it. We met at an IHOP and gave it to the mother. Barely a thank you and she seemed put out. The girl was out partying with friends and at that time probably didn't even know she had lost it yet.
