I had a 1980 F100 with an inline 6 300 with 350k when I got the truck. At 490k miles my ex drove it without checking the coolant level and it caught fire. That was when I was 20. I've seen it twice still driving around a decade later

Most people I talk to have nothing but good things to say about you, but you sure come across as a condescending prick. Do you have an inferiority complex you've attempted to overcome through overachievement? Or were you fondled as a child?
You and slow99 should date. You both have passive aggressiveness down pat.

We had a Toyota Matrix in @ work and it had 299,999mi registered on the odometer. When we asked the customer if that was the actual miles, he said he took it to the dealer to see why it stopped working. The dealership told him that the car was never designed to last that long and the odo was programmed to stop ticking at 299,999! Shows the faith that the company has in its vehicle, or is it just reliable? According to the guy the car actually has around 400k mi on it.

My 96 GT had 182,000 when I sold it. Only replaced the intake with the pi version with aluminum crossover and the clutch. Guy I sold it to put another 75,000 on it and only had to replace the radiator and fuel pump...I'd say we got plenty of mileage out of it and I beat the shit out of it almost daily!"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms...disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes...Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man." - Thomas Jefferson, 1776
