You will. Still won't feel any better.

That sucks. My oldest great dane turned 10 in June. She's getting around but has some arthritis flare ups in the back hips. It will be a rough day when we lose her.

            Seb's high class.
            He'll mow your grass.
            He'll kick your ass.
And while his kidney stones pass,
            He'll piss in a glass!

So sorry for your loss We too have had a rough couple years losing our 9 yr old Dane suddenly, my 15 year old cat and then a young brother/sister pair of cats that were only 6 within 6 mos of each other. Most of our remaining group is "older" so it's kind of always in the back of our mind. Making the decision is the hardest thing ever, even when you know it is the right one. RIP Rocky!

I had a Golden as a kid, Sarge, we had him 16 years. His hips started to give out on him and we would have to go rescue him from the backyard. Sorry for your loss. I never like hearing these stories. I can't imagine the basket case I'll be when that time comes for my two fur babies.

Sucks. My buddy lost his lab this week. 8 weeks out of the hospital,& now missing 1/2 a lung, he dug the grave. He'll never admit it, but I guarantee there were tears from the digging, and not the physical pain. Sorry for your loss.

Thanks bro. It was the next day after you left when shit hit the fans with him.

Yeah that sounds like what my parents were having to deal with when they tried to get him into the backyard to go to the bathroom. He would walk and pee but as he was walking back he would fall into the shrubs because his back legs would give out. Also he was losing his sight i think because he was running into a lot of things in the house bumping his head.

hahah he was a damn good dog i wish i could post the video of him. Every christmas we would get him a gift. And tell him to go get it and unwrap it. He would pick it up and then hold it down with his paw and tear it apart! haha man it was some good times.

it is hard trying to keep it together though.

My son just so happens to have 4 legs and a tail. I've done everything in my power and more then most to keep him healthy and alive. He is my family, 7 years running. Sorry for your loss man.
