I paid $110 in dues a month in my old condo. Had several pools, sauna, weight room, racketball, pool tables, etc. It was worth it.

I think the ones at SoCo are $299 a month.

At first I thought it was a misprint, but seeing your post I'm not so sure anymore.

That's a pretty steep add-on for an apartment.

I love people hate on HOAs but will pay that per month to an Condo association.
Fuck you. We're going to Costco.

It's an apondo, Don. Mel pays a small fortune in homeowner's dues for her condo, and they don't a damn thing for it!

Wouldn't the utilities (mainly electric) eat your lunch? They can't be too efficient.

They do. Between a huge volume of air to condition, brick walls, and giant windows, they're a clusterfuck for utilities. The difference isn't unreasonable when you're splitting the cost with roommates, but I won't consider living in a loft again until I have a lot more income, even as cool as it was.

Most I've seen are $200-300/month and some down in uptown are nearly $1,000/month. I try to talk everyone out of buying a condo.
