Another DFW Mustang West Nile Fever case...
Live in Haslet, haven't seen many mosquitos, but quess it only takes one. I did notice/kill a few of the fuckers in the house a week or so ago.
Monday thru Thursday- mild fever, body aches, headache, slight rash on torso and tired as hell.

Purple Martins are pretty bad ass at catching mosquitos too. We have about 50 to 60 Martins in our hood and there aint a mosquito in sight. Don't mess with their nest, or even go near them. Those momma birds think they are Japanese fighter pilots.

I have to say the same. Nearly all the food that I cook has a massive amount of garlic and ginger (and cilantro and basil and chili peppers) in them, and we still will get eaten alive.

I remember in the 50's in my hometown Texas City on the coast, they regularly sprayed a huge fog of DDT behind trucks at night. I mean the whole neighborhood was covered with the spray, so thick you could not see the house next door until it settled down. They told you not to go outside, but us kids had fun running behind the spraying truck because the spray smelled so sweet!

Lea, y'all really do have it bad at your house. I admit that I get eat the fuck up here at home and when I visit my mom's house, but at your place, they got me like 20 times in 30 minutes. Just be careful.

For those who missed it, my gf and I got West Nile about two weeks ago. It was no fun at all.

On a serious note, sorry to hear that Jluv. I've wondered how bad that shit is. We sit out on the lawn several nights a week enjoying an "aged beverage of choice" and I constantly worry about Mary getting bit - or me.

I'm pretty heavy with the yard guard and will spread some more broadcast goodness today.

We also just got a text from a friend that an elderly neighbor just got diagnosed with it. They live in Diamond Loch.
