Or try a Chimy's margarita...that will at least make everything seem entertaining. Broadway just east of University (also just east of campus).

Sit on the patio at Chimys, drink a half and half while you watch the scenery walk by.

There is a decent gun store over on 34th east of university a little ways, on the south side of the road has a yellow sign that says Gun Shop. There is another one on slide maybe call sharp shooters that is good for looking, but prices are too high.

Orlando's, 50 yard line, triple J are all good places to eat.

Lots of nice scenery walking around the mall usually.

Omnimax over at the Sciencespectrum is cool if you haven't been to it before.

Lubbock really has no entertainment. But they do have lots of good places to eat. The County Line
Gardsky's Bar and Loft
Montelongo's if you like good Mexican food
Lone Star Oyster
Josey's has ok burritos
River Smith's

And if you are trying to do the bar scene you can check out the Depot District in the little down town area. I'm not too familiar with the bars there but there seems to always be an abundance of eye candy.
