Brother, I have change my career 3 times now and am headed for my fourth. I was a videographer, then a cable/fiber splicer, then a shore tankerman, and now I am gonna train to become a nurse. No money in videography, splicing got boring and sucky, shore tanking was awesome money but kill me now God boring, and nursing seems like a way to use the things im good at (steady hands with a fast mind) and be able to give back to my community.

You gotta get away from whatever doesnt feel right or your ass will end up in the wacky ward.

I am constantly asking myself the same thing. Granted, I am in a very comfortable position with nice pay, it is just my 9-5 (not really). I am always looking for ways to make money, whether it is buying/selling bikes, real estate, odds and ends, etc. I figured if I keep that mentatlity long enough something good will come out of it. Maybe one day I won't work for "the man" and be my own entity.

I'm kind of in the same boat. I've been in the same industry my entire adult life and while it pays well and offers all sorts of perks, I'm just bored with it. Financially, I'm near the top of the pay scale for my skill set and education yet I'm only 35 years old. I'm kind of in this funk where I don't know what I want to do for the next 30 years, but I don't think it's this.

Then I come to the realization that if my only complaints are boredom and making too much money too early in my career, I should probably just STFU and find a hobby to keep me interested.
