They can say they don't support it all they want. I support their right to free speech. The difference for me is that they make contributions to Focus on the Family. I don't support Focus on the Family, and I do not want my money going to support Focus on the Family. I do not give my money to companies that openly admit to donating to Focus on the Family.

It's no different than finding out that a local business donates to NAMBLA and deciding that you don't want your money going to them.

On that note, I think you could find some reason to boycot any corperation based on "charitable donations" if you look hard enough. I know that churches get plenty of money since it is a writeoff, and I doubt that most of those churches are having same sex weddings in them.

FOTF's lobbying arm, CitizenLink, actively campaigns against same sex marriage. That's why people who support gay marriage are so outspoken against them and people who donate money to them. Of the $2.6 million CFA donated in 2009, $12,500 went to FOTF, so it's not like they are a huge supporter but they support it nonetheless.

There stands to be a good chance that CFA either doesn't know they directly donate (they may directly donate, but who cares) or has no idea that they are popping $12,500 a year to them. Regardless, it's asinine to be up-in-arms over something as menial as a donation to a charity that accounts for less than what one Welfare family gets from Uncle Sam every year.

I despise Obama and what he stands for. Should I boycott every single company that donates to his political fund? The reality is that donations are an accounting staple, donations will go to who/whatever is asking for them and to slander a company for a donation is dumb. If you don't like the fact that the owner of a certain Christian chicken joint (who's always been closed Sundays and has espoused Christian viewpoints since Day 1) reaffirmed his beliefs when he was ASKED what his views were on gay marriage, there's something wrong with your logic and reasoning.
