  • Blasted, the first time in history they screwed up my order and shorted me a couple sandwiches. I called them when I got to work. The manager listed on the receipt answered and fixed it in less than 3 minutes. Free meal and the two sandwiches next visit. Not an issue since I am there 3-4 times a week when I work in Hurst.

I enjoy their food. I enjoy their welcoming attitude. I enjoy how fast they have your food out. I enjoy that they have not succumbed to the 24/7 mentality for the sake of revenue/profit. I enjoy that I have not ever been proselytized by even the slightest hint of a cross on the wall or scripture on my food package. As a Christian it would not bother me but I respect that they do not force religion unto anyone. With that said, I still support Crossbreed Holsters, ACOG, the Bible and the words In God We Trust and One Nation Under God. They were values that led to the creation of our society and now that they are being pushed out look at the society we have left.

When I say I am a Christian; I go to church every (nearly) weekend and enjoy listening to the sermon, etc. I am on the fence on their being a single supreme being that created the Heaven and the Earth. BUT I fully believe in the lesson they bring and the way of life they suggest everyone live.

I don’t care that they do not support gay marriage. I wouldn’t care if they did. If they supported terrorism or acts of violence against people that don’t share their views or values I would not be eating there.

I was always surprised we never heard more skint-knee bitches crying about this one. Especially since they are based in California.

        • I keep hearing this "separation of church and state clause" yet no matter how many times I read it, I can't find it. I have read the Jefferson letter that made mention of it, yet that carries no strength of law. Where can I find this clause?

And despite the lines and the heat, you don't see fights, you don't see screaming and cursing. Everyone is polite and doing the right thing

The guy behind me this morning was mumbling about "all these f-ing a-holes" that were taking so long to order.

It is only in that letter. Jefferson is summarizing/explaining the idea behind the establishment clause and free exercise clause. As much as "separation of church and state" is mentioned, it is not in any of the founding documents, other than his memoirs.

Well I did have the lady in front of me get her food, pull forward 2-3 car lengths and just stop. She had room for days to get around the other people but just sat there and failed to see the stalemate she was causing.

People are getting tired of all these vague stands and politician type answers to questions in the media. It's refreshing to see a somewhat public figure make a stand on something unpopular, even if you don't agree with them. It's the people who try to make legislation revolving around morality that worry me. By all means, operate your business as you see fit.
I agree. It is nice to see this many people supporting a mans business and right to free speech. I think people are tired of the groups that cry and throw fits regarding other peoples beliefs while demanding tolerance for their own beliefs.

                      • CJ - replying from my phone, so I'm not going to quote that long post. I'm with Drew on this. And as you said, it is subjective to one's interpretation. I wouldn't consider this country founded on religion. I consider it founded on freedom of religion. Which could also mean freedom from religion, depending on one's stance.

And I'm not knocking anyone's beliefs, either. It doesn't affect me one way or another. Just like I don't oppose gay marriage, because again, it doesn't affect me. But I will absolutely support Cathy's right to his opinion, and his freedom of speech even though I don't agree with him.

What gets me is the militants on both ends of the religion spectrum. But I'll admit, the militant atheists (racrguy for instance), irritate me far more than the Bible Thumpers. In my experience they are far more close minded, and far more hypocritical than even the most hypocritical Christians.

I know you know this CJ. I just cringe every time I hear "separation of church and state." It's not law, it's not in the Constitution or Declaration, it's right up there with saying that the 2nd amendment allows 'reasonable restrictions' despite it's wording.
