Toyota of Plano sucks. Their F&I guys are slimeballs.

My business partner has had good experiences @ Patt Lobb in McKinney, but I cannot vouch for it personally.

I shop for my folks new cars because they loathe the process and both are die-hard Toyota drivers.

Dad's Taco and Mom's 4-runner both came from Jeff Hunter Toyota in Waco. I was ready to come un-glued in Texas Toyota in Grapevine when I was looking for dad about a year ago. The "sales manager" was trying to get me to trade my crew cab chevy on a tundra the whole time after I had explained to him at least twice I was looking for a tacoma and not trading anything in. And as a funny note, he seriously looked like something out of a movie. Pin-stripped suit, tons of hair spray, bunch of gold jewelry, and drinking/smoking/sunbrunt leathery skin. Both my shopping and the following transactions at Jeff Hunter were pretty painless and the deal was decent.

My Sis In-Law used Toyota of Fort Worth and has been happy with them, but I have no personal experience and I am a bit harder to please than she is.

Make sure the service department you buy from is worth a damn if you intend on using them for service/warranty work. I did not and I kick myself every.single.time.

Yep. Van Tuyl owns Grapevine Ford, Texas Toyota and Texas Nissan.

That's where I got my FJ back in '08 and didn't have any problems at all. I did most of the negotiations with the salesman online, so when I got there there was very little nego to do. I walked in, we agreed on a price, filled out the paperwork and was out within an hour.

Definitely stay away from grapevine toyota, they are the worst bunch of liars and thieves, it's the stereotypical car buying experience you hear about and fear. It's also the smallest dirtiest shit hole of a dealership. Fuck that place to hell.

I have always gotten great service at Freeman Toyota in Hurst, bought my wife's Sequoia and my Tundra there, but then again, we know Dane Minor so they know to treat us right.

"Decent" and "dealer" don't belong together.

                        This.
Give Skip a shout. Surely there are some strings he can pull.

Bought a new Prius 4 today from Vandergriff in Arlington. Even though I had spoken to them on the 'net/phone and had the deal somewhat underway, it was still a 3 hour ass whoopin' by the time we finished not including the drive in from Canton and back home.

We got to within $150.00 of what we really wanted to pay which ended up representing MSRP less about $500.00.

The car is great, the deal was OK for us, not spectacular, but still OK, and I'm sure the dealership made out alright as well.

I would just hate to go in (anywhere) to buy a car unarmed... we had good pricing info on the car we wanted, plus competitive trade-in bids on ours as well.

It was a long day, I'm beat.

I went with her and we didn't have to go through any of the typical dealership BS but your mileage may vary.
