I have been looking around online, but really wanted to talk to someone as I have some questions.

I pretty much assumed that, which is why I'm hoping to talk to someone more in depth about options.

Surely there is someone on here that can give me some ins and outs on putting things in a spouse's name, types of loans (if any) that are even remotely available, and what is needed to secure such loans.


Trust me, if I was a freight train drivin' mofo, I wouldn't need no damn loans to begin with!

Work up some cashflow, put together a formalized business plan and financial statements, and go talk to the bank where you do all of your personal banking. Chances aren't great that they'll do much, but it can't hurt to ask.

Let me rephrase. If you and your spouse are white, don't bother.

CWO has personal experience with his wife (at the time) trying to get a small business loan. It was a lost cause, and she was a master at her craft.

The govt will award contracts based on MWBE status, but the lending isn't any easier to get, at least, for caucasian women.

And what Slowhand said. Everything is worth a shot. It's just highly unlikely.

My mom knew a lady who was making BANK manufacturing/selling surge protectors to the government. Her business was chosen to manufacture them not because of the quality or price, but because she was a minority and female.

Not enough contracts are awarded to female minority owned businesses.

Please elaborate how this is fair?

Affirmative action at work. And it's not female minority owned. It's female OR minority owned.
