Regardless, killing anyone you know accidentally has got to be the worst thing to happen to someone, let alone your own child.
At home? Absolutely. My question is that, since almost all hotels require a key card to enter a room, you'd know who has the other card. Why would you just shoot your son? It's a horrible situation but something isn't square IMO.

In such a small room, how could you not tell who it was? And another thing, who just opens fire without saying something or asking a question? Who is it? Somethings not right.

I could point out the incident of cops opening fire on a guy who answered his door with a pistol.

Well, at least he will get a few days off of work out of it.

Should be removed from the force completely, forced to undergo treatment for what he did and evaluate criminal charges on opening fire in a public location and killing someone. With an understanding that it's his son that's dead of course.

Maybe intentional and he just didn't land the shot where he wanted to and didn't figure he'd get away with two in him

You own every bullet that leaves the barrel and are subject to the court system in the wrongful deaths they cause.

Sad, sad deal but it is what it is.
