the last iphone4 update installed a gps tracking thingamabob that tracks the phone via your apple id account. the owner can log onto me.com with the apple id and trace it or erase it if they have it set up. kudos for trying to return it
I called the number, finally, and it said that I have reached a nonworking number on a private network. And I had to turn the phone off cause the alarm kept going off and now the number isn't on the front screen anymore.
And I dont want to battle mall traffic to go to an ATT store. I'll try to plug it into my itunes and see what comes up. Hopefully it rings so I can answer it!

Thanks for the advice!
I think plugging it into itunes is just gonna give you access to media on the phone.

Marisa-CALL AT&T and give them the ID numbers for the phone. They should be able to look up the owner of the account by that and then contact them. All phones are linked to the account so there has to be a way for them to do it.
