  • Looking for an acre of land with shop or build a shop in North Ft Worth area?

My wife and I planning on moving back into our rent house in the next year or so but the only problem is that it doesn't have a garage and no enough land to build a detached shop. I know there are some real estate sleuths on this board that could help me with on locating a property with either a shop already on it or one that I could build a 40x60 shop on. We actually don't want it in city limits, more on the out skirts of North Ft. Worth( Wise county,Azle, Weatherford, Haslet). I have been researching but do I need a residential or commercial realtor to do more investigating? Also if you have done something like this I would like your feedback on any pitfalls I might incounter with building a shop. We budgeted around 60k for this. We don't want alot of acres preferably less than 2 acres. Thanks!

    What's your budget?

You can use www.searchdallasmls.com and look on your own. You can change search parameters including price and garage size. I've been using that and zillow.com to search for a house

You can find a house in Haslet easily, depending on your budget with a big shop.

If you go to build a shop give WWW.trmetalbuildings.com a call

I think 60k will get me land out there right now. We are not looking for a place to live just some land for storage and repairs for our vehicles.

Plenty of areas with houses like that if you get on 287 from 35W just north of 820 and go west.

Just building a 40X60 will set you back $40k, plus whatever the land cost.

2 acres ? trailer park land . 10 acres maybe but will be restricted. everyone wants a small place . but i can assure you if you build a shop out there dont bother putting doors on it. they will strip it in less than 30 days.
