I am atheist so it has nothing to do with religion. Where else in the natural world does homosexuality exist? What is the purpose? The purpose of our existence is to procreate and ensure the survival of our species. Homosexuality is just a deviant sexual behavior that serves no purpose other than sexual gratification. I have no problem with them in society but when they start seeking legislation to make their deviancy normal I disagree and think it is ridiculous.

Forty years ago when it was generally unacceptable, there was very little of the outward act.

Yup, read about that. I understand that there is a genetic propensity for some individuals to be attracted to the same sex but I feel that it is still a choice. I wonder what would happen if you gave young boys (at puberty) that have androgen deficiency and a propensity toward other boys some androgen replacement if that would change their views on their sexual orientation? I doubt it's as simple as just a hormonal deficiency though.

Yes, there are cases of it in the animal kingdom.... but not one case will ever lead to reproduction... which is the entire original point of sex to begin with...
