Is homosexuality a choice?

I think it's cases like this where you end up with one of those guys that has a wife and kids, but is screwing dudes on the side. They have been conditioned to think that they have to present a certain image, but it doesn't change what they really are...

I am atheist so it has nothing to do with religion. Where else in the natural world does homosexuality exist? What is the purpose? The purpose of our existence is to procreate and ensure the survival of our species. Homosexuality is just a deviant sexual behavior that serves no purpose other than sexual gratification. I have no problem with them in society but when they start seeking legislation to make their deviancy normal I disagree and think it is ridiculous.

I don't think it is all choice. I do think you can separate homosexuality into two camps. Truly gay and gay by choice. I know it seems to be a trend in my daughter's age group (high school) to declare your "bisexuality" these days. I consider these the "newly gay." A lot of times it is done simply for the shock factor.

I think the "newly gay" muddle up the issue for those who really have no option other than to be attracted to a same sex partner.

I don't think it is a either or option and I think it is a myth that the issue is as black or white as saying it is either choice or it is genetic with no middle ground.

Unfortunately in this country it is a political issue because if the agreement is homosexuality is genetic then homosexuals become a protected class. If it is by choice then homosexuals are not a protected class.

I'm with the left-handed theory. I see it the same way I do as to why some people don't like the taste of certain foods while others love them.

I have a really good friend that is gay and he has been since he was little but hes a good guy and knows his boundaries, hes not a flamer like what you normally see, guy actually raises cutting horses and rodeos. Hes a mans man! lol
