We proposed something like this with the proceeds going to charity and the execs shot us down saying that we have a code the customers expect, etc etc.

If it means I get to wear shorts and a T-shirt everyday and still get paid good, sign me up I don't care what brand it is. One of my goals in life is to be in a position to wear shorts and a t-shirt 365 days a year. Probably won't happen until retirement though. Until then I'm stuck in blue jeans and a polo.

Oh, and remember, next Friday is Hawaiian shirt day. So, you know, if you want, go ahead and wear a Hawaiian shirt...and jeans.

and be the only mofo in the office wearing one.

I used to hate that shit. It would be sports day and I would wear something, and be the only mofo on the floor of 30+ people wearing something sports related.

I'm in sales as well, and even when going to weekly meetings with a big client where they are usually all in busines casual, I always wear a suit. Black or charcoal if I am meeting a client for the first time or two, a sport coat and slacks once we have a rapport. If it's a one-on-one with a long-time customer I'll leave the jacket at home, but still wear a button-down and slacks.

That's just me though, some people are completely fine dressing down, but if business is on the line, I prefer to remain as professional as possible at all times.
Same with me. Shorts/Tshirt at home and suit or slacks/nice shirt depending on client meeting. Love the freedom of being a RSM.

Yes / No. Who cares what you wear if everything else is right. I don't consider what you wear necessarily a deal breaker.

My company has a pretty aggressive corporate culture. I'm going to start wearing their gear and saying pointed things. Maybe they'll promote me.
ZOMBIE REAGAN FOR PRESIDENT 2016!!! heh

If they passed out Dell polo shirts, I'd wear them every day to work.
