The judge granted my nephews dad two weeks of visitations. They came and took him from my sister today. The fucked up part its not the dad who wants to see him but his grandparents. His father is a worthless piece of shit who doesn't deserve this kid. The grandparents feel like they're entitled to visitations because they took my nephew away from my sister when she deployed 2 years ago. They raised him while she was gone. Now the judge granted them two weeks. Who the fuck are they to get that right??? Just because they have money doesn't entitle them to my nephew. He's not their son. I'm fucking pissed this happened today. My sister has to ship out mid February and these assholes pull this stunt to stress her out even more.

I'm sorry but I needed to vent somewhere.

that sucks. It's amazing to me what some people pull. My ex switched jobs and my kids have no health insurance. He is waiting to put them on COBRA because it costs too much. I have been fighting with him all month. I am going to have to shell out cash and get a lawyer to make him do what is REQUIRED per our divorce decree.


My son has significant medical issues and can't be without insurance...so I will do what I have to do


It's the kids that suffer..and adults use them as pawns...

She's been trying to divorce him for over a 1 1/2 year but fucking tarrant county courts want them to "work it out". The lawyer she has now fucked her over. No they shouldn't..there is a "clause" in most divorces that says the custodial parent can't move out of the current county or adjacent unless the other parent moves. My lawyer told me he had a case where the grandparents contested it ..the son moved to NY so it shouldn't have been a big deal..and they fucking WON! crazy

Before she had shipped out they put a restraining order and somehow got custody of him. Even though they weren't divorced yet they felt it necessary to gain custodial rights. They have no right to this child, just because they failed with their own doesn't give them a fresh slate with my nephew.

Sometimes it's not about you or her. If the kid loves his grandparents unconditionally and they are descent people, then nobody should mess with that. I can't stand my son's step brothers. But he loves them and that is good enough for me.

I think there's a lot more going on here than meets the eye. If they raised your nephew while your sis was gone, I imagine the judge felt like they're entitled to some visitation.

how did they get that

They put in a request for temporary custody and the judge had given it to them.My sister had no idea at the time they were planning this. That same day they won custody they filed a restraining order. She was dropping my nephew off with them so he could spend time with them. Thats when they dropped the ball on her.

It's been a whole ordeal with them. The father hardly spent time with his son. The grandparents have been trying to get full custody for a while now, not the father. They have been doing more and more to get more visitations than what was ordered. The first weekend of every month is the order the previous judge issued. They weren't supposed to have him for the holidays.
