Daily drove my Supra with 1202rw just fine. My last V was at 830 for over 20,000 miles without issue
-1997 Supra- mid 8 second street car
-1993 Cobra- 700rw
-2012 CTS-V- 9 second daily driver
-1991 Coupe- LSA/TT/4L80 in the making
-2007 GSXR 1000- built turbo bike
I drove my '03 cobra daily for a little while with 520/560. No problems other than boring miles killing my fun. High boost was taxing on the motor for sure. It smoked on startup when I sold it.
There is no magic number. The problems come in when you hugely exceed the cars original capabilities. Like if you have a 96 GT and build a 600 hp motor for it, chances are you're going to have problems. However if you took a new 5.0 and pushed it to 600 I'm sure the drivability would be mostly comparable to stock.
I personally like around 400 for a daily. I can stick some not so expensive tires on there and have them last a while. Not to mention traction issues with wet weather and a rear wheel drive car.
Not saying it can't be done but that is the PITA factor for me. Not to mention the gas used with an application with that.
What platform are you working with? A new ZR1 with a pulley/headers/tune can make over 700rwhp and you'd never know it wasn't stock as far as daily driving is concerned.
