its a rip of went last week... $10.00 to park then $10.00 a person just to go out on it to see what they have then you still have to pay for any rides or activites. We ate at Buba Gump on it and it was very high and food was ok but not great with very small portions IMO.

        Well that doesn't sound pleasing.

I usually just pleasure myself at the house but if you feel the need to go somewhere to do so, go right ahead....

Jr had a great time! he liked the actual beach more than the pier. the pier is ok, i thought it would be bigger. the rollercoaster on it was awesome! pretty much like 6 bux per ride, unless you buy the all day pass for all the rides. its one of those seen it once, no need to go again unless Jr wants to. I think we won enough stuffed animals to last a lifetime though. we hopped the ferry to bolivar where i managed to step on something in the water and cut the hell out of my foot. its is now swollen to twice the size of my left foot. going to the Dr. today.

                god bless.

When I was growing up in Texas City in the 50's, I can remember my mother and father going to Galveston often to go to the old Pleasure Pier to dance and for meetings. They also gambled at various places on the beach. The Balinese Room was one place they liked to go, in that Hollywood stars would come there all the time and the gambling was something new for my parents to try out. Back in the old days, they all dressed to the nines to go out, only the best high fashion for the time. I remember my father griping at my mother who would buy an outfit just for the Galveston outing, wear it one time and then get another!
