Sounds like you live in Hurst. I had a fucking crack house three doors down and they were more concerned with me changing out a hot water heater without a permit, or my slicks on the mustang that were low on air, and the inspection being out.

It is a stupid ordnance that for you to park a vehicle that YOU OWN on YOUR OWN property it has to be registered and inspected and can not be in a state of repair.

I would take a dash frame, bolt it in, them mount the steering collumn and tell him to go fuck with someone else.

I had to fight one in Duncanville, and found out from a little birdy that the officer couldnt read or write. We went to trial and I handed him what looked like city code and asked him to read a section that I had rewritten with parts of the preamble to the constitution. He had been read the laws, and was trying to recite by memory what that section said, since it was the part we were cited for. The judge and jury had a copy, and saw through it, we got off pretty easy when he botched it.

The downside is that my stepdad gets sited for anything and everything they can find, no warning. Its a fight every time, and it sucks. Battle won, not the war.

I just pissed myself laughing at that.

On the last part though sometimes you have to decide to only fight the battles you can't afford to lose. I try to live my life this way nowadays. Like chess you have to think several steps ahead. "If I do this, and I am right so I should, what will they do next that I cannot trump."

I have neighbors that have 6+ Datsun dogs running around their backyard yipping and barking constantly. I could call the HOA and complain but then they could have done the same with me when I had the gang over last week and a cannon in my backyard. Instead we are good friends and they get embarrassed now when the dogs bark while we are outside.

....same thing happened to me....and i live in the country. paid the ticket, guy still comes by all the time looking at my cars.....whats makes me mad is there is a shop down the my street that has had a car in its front parking area on jackstands with no motor or trans in it for like a year and they never get hassled.....another person just a bit further has had a ford probe on jackstands for over 3 years now and it has never been moved.....
