a golden ticket, I wish.
I have a red sn95 that was in my driveway on jackstands but with tires under the car so it looked like it was on the ground. City came by and cited me with a bunch of bullshit, I took care of all of it, got the car off of jackstands, cleaned up a few things, etc.
Couple weeks later the code enforcement guy is back, he leaves a notice that says the sn95 must start, run, and move under it's own power. The car will start, run, and move under it's own power, but the steering column is not installed ATM. Anyways I moved it a few feet forward to show that it will move.
He ends up writing me a ticket for it, it's citing that it's a junked vehicle, because it is partially dismantled. I sen't him a e-mail and said wtf d00d, why'd you write me a ticket, the car does just as you asked, here are the e-mails.

The lady that he issued the notice to, was my wife, but the notice was in my name, she just told me that I got a notice, I read it, and I complied with it. IMO I don't care what he told "the lady", I did what was in writing.
Anyways, I am planning on fighting it in court, I asked for a trial by jury, I would like to know if anyone has any advice on what to prepare for, my next date is for a jury pre trial, I have no idea what to expect at this pre-trial, I also know that I need to register any evidence with the court before the trial but I have no idea on how to do this. Any information would be welcome.

This is Tyler, the owner of the red Mustang.
A couple of weeks ago you left me with some notices, I promptly rectified the problems that you noticed at my house.
First, my trailer was past my concrete; I moved it as requested.
Second, my Mustang that was on jack stands; I had the axle out to have it freshened up.
Third, reassemble the Mustang; I worked diligently and promptly to replace the axle in the car so that it would be legal, the car does have an engine and transmission and will start, run, and move under it's own power, I moved it up 2 feet after it was reassembled.
I was a bit surprised today when I got home to a violation on my door, I suppose I should have opened up a line of communication with you sooner so we were at an understanding with each other. You also left me with a warning to remove the tires that were hidden behind the car. Because of my prompt action to reassemble the Mustang, I left the tires there, out of public view, until I had a chance to move them, they have now been removed. I feel that I have complied with your requests 100% and been completely cooperative, can you tell me why I received a violation?

Thank you for taking the time to contact me. I did take notice and closed the violations for parking in the yard and a vehicle on jack stands. As far as the nuisance vehicle, I explained to the lady I issued the notice to that the vehicle must be assembled and able to drive. The vehicle in its current condition is not able to operate because the steering wheel, column, and dash are not installed. I explained that the vehicle needed to be brought into compliance, put into the garage or removed the property.
