Wife's on day 3 with pneumonia: temps of 104.9

She lived in california and my wife talked to her the night before trying to nail a date down to fly her in for my daughters first birthday, and my wife had no idea other than saying she was feeling bad. I got woken up to my wife answering her cell phone and then screaming about 7 the next morning.

My wife is currently is on the back side of pneumonia. She was in the hospital for a week and can't return to work for another two weeks. It's pretty nasty stuff high fever and coughing all the time. Shes also 7 months pregnant.

My wife gets it often, but hasnt been hospitalized for it. Might be a smart ideal to start getting the yearly shot for it along with the flu shot.

I had it, and when I went to the emergency clinc they gave me fluids and a breathing treatment and I was perfectly fine afterwards. I was at 104.6, the moment they gave me fluids I felt fucking amazing and my temperature broke, I almost could have gone to work the same day. I cant remember what pills they gave me, but all I felt i needed was the fluids. I was sick for about 5 days before I did anything about it, I was freezing even though I had my electric blanket on in the middle of summer.

Yea that's the way she was. It was 98 outside and she said she was freezing, definitely wasn't right. Fever is back again, now day 4 of high temps. At what temp does it get dangerous for adults? >105?

My 6 year old daughter had it twice this year. She didn't have terribly high temps, but a lot of trouble breathing. Spend 2 days in the hospital the second time on O2 and breathing treatments.

I wasn't going to reply but my mother in law caught pneumonia and put off going to the doctor for a couple days and ended up dying in her sleep. She was only 46. It can get serious fast
