Yea that's the way she was. It was 98 outside and she said she was freezing, definitely wasn't right. Fever is back again, now day 4 of high temps. At what temp does it get dangerous for adults? >105?
105 is real bad news, your wife and family are in our thoughts and prayers.
Just got her home, temp currently 99.9 but not climbing. I've gotta load up my 3 year old now and run her up to acute kids- her temp is currently 101.7

Good to hear the fever came down. Great call on getting the little one to the hospital stat and nip that stuff in the bud
I'm currently on meds for pneumonia.. Started running a fever thursday afternoon and went to the doctor friday morning. I've had it before and even had the preventative shots. Nothing to fuck with!!
Natural law. Sons are put on this earth to trouble their fathers.

Good Lord dude, sounds like you have your hands full. Is there no family or anything that can help with that?
Pneumonia is a bad disease. It can and does kill people of all ages daily. Some organisms are more virulent than others and therefore, harder to treat. The disease is usually only fatal in the very old and very young, but if the patient gets bacteremia/sepsis/shock, it doesnt matter what age you are. I do believe that Shawn Salazar (Saladbar) died from complications of pneumonia and he was in his 30s I believe.
If you start getting high fevers, cough, rigors, chills, etc, go to the ER.

Geez man, hope everyone gets to feeling better. You're going to need a vacation by the time it is all over with.

Would the flu be considered a disease? I always understood a disease to be something that is incurable, chronic, terminal, or all 3

Seb's high class.
He'll mow your grass.
He'll kick your ass.
And while his kidney stones pass,
He'll piss in a glass!
this sucks man, hope your kid doesn't have it. i got sick a month or so ago and i was pushing 105 temps. went to the ER and they told me i just had a stomach bug and didn't give me any antibiotics. 2 days later i was worse and went to my regular dr and she told me i had bronchitis. she gave me Z-pac antibiotics and 4 weeks later, i was 100% better. this isn't anything to mess with for sure.

Yes, the term disease is just a generic term for any abnormal process affecting your body. The influenza virus ("flu") has killed more people than all other diseases combined. It is estimated that this virus kills approximated 500,000 people each year...in some years it's in the millions. So, yes...the flu is a real, and deadly disease.
